Website information
We aim to keep service descriptions, product information, availability and prices accurate. Images may be illustrative and screen colours can vary. If information is materially incorrect, we will give you an opportunity to confirm the corrected terms or cancel where applicable. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Booking enquiries
Sending a booking request through WhatsApp is an enquiry only. It does not reserve a time or create a service contract. A booking is confirmed only when Autoshine expressly accepts the requested work, timing and price. Estimates may change if inspection reveals a different vehicle condition or scope; we will seek approval before material additional work.
Vehicle services
You must disclose known defects, damage, modifications, sensitive finishes and other facts reasonably relevant to the requested work. Please remove valuables and personal belongings before handing over a vehicle. Service-specific price, duration, collection, cancellation and aftercare information agreed with you forms part of the service contract.
Online product orders
The website uses Shopify for its cart and hosted checkout. Before ordering, checkout will show the products, total price, applicable taxes, delivery charges, payment methods and delivery options. An automated acknowledgement does not necessarily mean an order has been accepted. Acceptance occurs when we confirm the order or dispatch the goods, whichever occurs first.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where an item is unavailable, pricing is clearly erroneous, payment is not authorised, delivery is unavailable, or fraud or unlawful activity is reasonably suspected. If payment has already been collected, the relevant amount will be refunded.
Delivery
Available destinations, costs and estimated delivery times are displayed at checkout. Unless otherwise agreed, consumer orders will be delivered without undue delay and no later than the period required by applicable law. Risk normally passes when you or a person nominated by you receives the goods.
Cancellation and returns
Consumers buying at a distance generally have 14 days after receiving goods to notify the trader that they wish to withdraw, followed by the applicable period to return them. Statutory exceptions may apply, including to personalised goods or sealed goods not suitable for return for genuine health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. Contact us before sending anything back so we can provide return instructions and explain any lawful return cost.
You may inspect goods as you would in a shop, but may be responsible for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Refunds are made using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed. This does not affect your rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
Faulty goods and legal guarantee
Goods supplied to consumers must conform to the contract. Applicable EU and Maltese consumer law provides remedies for lack of conformity and a minimum legal guarantee for new goods. Depending on the circumstances, remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or termination/refund. A manufacturer warranty is additional to, and does not replace, statutory rights.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
You must not misuse the website, interfere with its security, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or use its content unlawfully. Unless otherwise stated, the website design, text, photographs and branding are owned by or licensed to Autoshine and may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Third-party names and marks remain their owners' property.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your mandatory consumer rights. Subject to that rule, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable or interruptions caused by events outside our reasonable control. External sites and services, including Shopify, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, operate under their own terms.
Governing law and complaints
These terms are governed by Maltese law. Consumers retain any mandatory protection available under the law applicable to them. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint. You may also seek assistance from the relevant Maltese consumer-protection authority or another competent dispute-resolution body.
